Blogging Secrets: How to find content for you blog whether you are a SAHM or a WAHM

Stay At Home Moms, Working Moms, Work At Home Moms, Full time Moms… We all have something to say. Many of us spend few to lots of hours blogging or reading blogs. In the next paragraphs I will give you a little secret to never run out of ideas for your content. I will also share a potential danger of it.

If you watched the videos of Ty Tribble (Top MLM blogger) in Blogging for Prospects, you already know two of his best Secrets to always have content.

I have one more secret: Google Alerts. This is a great source of information and inspiration to get you going in your own opinions about a given subject. You can also find good content to present to your followers.

Choose the topic you want to know about, like your niche. When you sign up, you receive daily updates of the most recent and interesting activity in the subject you chose.

So what is the danger of receiving Google Alerts? It doesn’t have anything to do with viruses or scams.

It has more to do with our inclination and love for debate.

I receive updates about WAHMs, SAHMs and other combinations. Many of the updates are Forums where a given question or specific subject is discussed. If you still don’t know, there is a permanent war going on between moms.

Maybe you participate in some of them. The danger for me is to get caught in reading the discussions, have an urge to participate and telling myself to move on and go back to work!

I know: it’s not that big of a deal, huh?

I choose not to participate because my goal is to help moms who are working their home based business from home in the Industry of Network Marketing. What are we? How do we identify ourselves? That is probably a subject for discussion...

When I decided to give you a tip about finding content or sources to create your own, I also made the decision to mention that little danger. It’s very interesting to see how a simple question can trigger so many answers and I know there is more debate out there about hundreds of topics (I prefer the ones related to Online Network Marketing).

Use Google Alerts. Just don’t be too distracted with discussions that are not in your niche.

Are there real Blogging secrets?

One of the "real" blogging secrets is to post frequently.

Guilty!

I'm not going into the reasons (excuses) for not doing it as I used to. We all know that life gets in the way and sometimes we have to learn to let it... keeping our eyes in our goals and walking towards them.

I've posted about Blogging Secrets before. But there are more tips and secrets to learn.

And part of our job as Network Marketing Moms is to keep training and learning.

So when I read about MLM Blog Secrets I was excited.

It seems like every day and every week there are new launches and new products that can actually change our lives, turbo-charge our businesses and make us rich (not quick though: with effort and investment).

We don't need to invest in every single one of them. It's not just about the money because as business owners we need to invest in our business and ourselves. It's about time. When we are raising a family, time feels like water in your hands. Slips away. And some days are more productive than others.

But his is a product that I feel good about being an affiliate and one that deserves my investment. I'm learning very good things and it's what I needed to start making changes.

Blogging tips: Three blogging secrets for Network Marketing Moms Part 2

Blogging is a great way to establish yourself as a leader in your niche, especially when you are using the Internet to build your Network Marketing Business.

Here is the third secret that can help you optimize your search engine (be in the the first pages of Search Engines)

3. Ping, Digg, Social Bookmarking: This is a valuable piece or information. Don’t overlook it and use it!. Every time you have something new in your blog, ping it!.

Pinging is a way to tell several Social Media sites that you have something. It helps with search engines too. Use one of this websites: pingoat.com, pingmyblog.com or ping.in. You only have to add your URL and the FEED URL (I’ll make another post about it), and select the sites you want to send the information to. Believe me, it can make a difference. Make it a habit. It takes less than a couple of minutes.

As for Digg and Social Bookmarking, it takes more time but it’s a great way to put your information in front of more people. You can install Social Bookmark Services in your bar and use it every time you have something new. This Service includes Digg and other websites where people exchange information. Share your own blog posts and other people’s valuable information. Remember that in Attraction Marketing giving is key. When you only give your stuff that is taking!

Blogging tips: Three blogging secrets for Network Marketing Moms Part 1

Blogging is a great way to establish yourself as a leader in your niche, especially when you are using the Internet to build your Network Marketing Business.

There are three secrets that I want to share here because they help me use my time efficiently and have taken some of my posts to the first pages of Google.

1. Know your keywords and who you are targeting with them: Keywords, like the word estates, are key! They can help you rank way high in the search engines and that in turn helps you with traffic for your blog. Google the keywords “network marketing moms”. I own almost all of the results in the first page. It’s my niche and I work smart to stay there. But I also target other keywords with more traffic.

I’ve given before a link to a great source for keywords: http://vur.me/networkmarketingmoms/digforgold/. It can be time consuming to find a good keyword but this Report really helps you see that sometime we waste time using keywords that don't have traffic. You will need it often.

2. Use your blog like a book: Don’t hesitate in have more than one keyword. Every blog post is like a chapter in a book and it can drive more traffic, even for different target markets. Look up again “home parties or mlm online”, I own the first two or three results. I’m targeting not only moms but network marketers who are interested in Home Parties.

Use one keyword and target it, use another one and target it. Don’t use one keyword and try to give everything to know about other subjects. Concentrate. If your blog’s title is your name, this is even more important.

Be careful not to do opposite either: do not use every blog post for a different keyword. Group them under few categories.

Why are blogs important in Network Marketing?

Blogs are important actually for any business. They build a community of people with similar interests. When you leave a post in your blog, you are open to receive comments and create an exchange of information between people (a.k.a. prospects).

The word "blog" is the short form of "web log". What started as an online diary to keep in touch with family and friends has become and important marketing tool. Blogs are important in Network Marketing because they help you distribute your information and create a presence in the web. They are easy to use and many services are free, which means you can save money.

Some tips to maximize the benefits of a blog in Network Marketing:

1) Update the content on a regular basis. That's going to make the difference when you rank up the search engines. Pay attention to how many blogs are in the first pages of Google. Many of them are business oriented blogs. Keep in mind that you'll need several posts before you start seeing real traffic.

2) Make it interesting for others. This means that you have to pick the theme you want to share information about (tips, advice, statistics, etc.) as if you where doing the research. Would you look information about it? What are people looking for?

3) Keep it keyword rich. This is the group of words or the phrases that designate the theme you picked. Repeat it in different parts and with different variations in your post. Bold it, underlined it, linked, etc. Make it noticeable and your Network Marketing blog will be an important marketing tool in your business. Can you guess what are the weywords of this post?

4) You have to read some information first and do some research to know what people are looking for (their problem), what things are out there (the solutions) and how you can compete with them (can you do better?).

Finally, keep it simple an be patient! don't get overwhelmed. Take one step at a time and remind yourself of how much your are learning and how that is going to affect positively your business.
